Friday, July 11th, brought Chattooga County officers to Denson Road in reference to Account Fraud.
The complainant told officers that she was trying to use her debit card, but it would not work. She called the card's company and found out that money on the card was spent in San Diego, California at a CVS and Walgreens. The transactions totaled close to $750 between the two.
She also told officers that later, she received a call about a payment close to $112 was made in a Rite Aid in Ohio. The woman said that the last purchase she had made with the card had been in LaFayette, Georgia.
The case is still under investigation.
