2014 Northwest Georgia Crop Scouting School

This free program offers basic information on crop insect/disease pests and scouting procedures. This program will serve as a review for experienced scouts and producers and as an introduction to cotton/soybean pest monitoring for new scouts. Dr. Phillip Roberts, UGA Professor of Entomology, will speak on the following topics: crop growth and development, pest I.D., damage and scouting procedures, beneficial insects, crop abnormalities and sampling procedures. Following the classroom session, those attending will have the opportunity to scout a nearby field. The crop school will include a sponsored lunch.
