Chattooga High School's Snack Pack program addresses the needs of students who are financially challenged and often experience shortages of food over weekends and holiday breaks from school. These students rely on the Free and Reduced lunch program during school days, but often go hungry when school is closed. Students are better prepared for school and experience fewer academic and behavioral problems when they are properly and adequately nourished. The Snack Pack Program confidentially provides students in this situation with backpacks filled with easy-to-prepare and pre-packaged foods at the end of each school week.
2 Deepwithin presents a day of Gospel & Grace to fund raise the Snack Pack Program. This event will be held on October 11 at 4:00 PM at the Chattooga Civic Center. For more information contact Deborah or David Bledsoe at 423-208-6289 or 423-667-1095 or Barbara Wallace at 706-857-2402
