A fatal shooting in Rome yesterday resulted in the death of twenty-four year old Dominique Alexander Spear.  Witnesses said that Spear was shot when another man walked up to Spear at 131 Dodd Boulevard in Rome and shot him.  Police say that the suspect called Floyd County 911 after he shot Spear.  The suspect was identified as twenty-year old Kyle Timmons.  Timmons waited for police to arrive after he called 911 and was immediately taken into custody.  The shooting took place at 11:45 AM on Tuesday morning.  Law enforcement in Floyd County have not commented on any motive in the shooting.
