The Chattooga County Agricultural Fair Council met on Tuesday evening at Bonnie's Family Restaurant in Menlo for their regular monthly meeting.  

The council has divided itself into two committees with individual council members in charge of coordinating different aspects of the fair.  The council consists of Zach Hughes, Rebecca Thomas, Kristin Croy, Larry Howard, Larry Simpson, Lyn Hall, Jimmy Holbrook and Eddie Massey.

The council was updated on plans for expansion of the Chattooga County Agricultural Building.   Lyn Hall provided a time line from Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters regarding the expansion which includes adding an additional fifty feet to the Ag Pavilion and expansion on the front of the building that will house the Chattooga County Extension Office.  Also, Commissioner Winters plans to air condition the exhibition area inside the Ag Building before this year's fair.

This year's Chattooga County Agricultural Fair will be held August 27-30, 2015.
