Cartersville police say they are leading the search for escaped inmate Sean Killion.

The 42-year-old man was in a prisoner transport van when he got away near the Pizza Hut on Felton Road near HIghway 41.

Killion was on his way to Indiana from Florida to face a probation violation and was being transported by a private company.

Once he arrived in Indiana, he was expected to be arrested by federal agents on drug charges. The U.S. Marshal's office told Cartersville police they are not handling the case since Killion was not yet in federal custody.

He was last seen wearing faded blue jeans and a black T-shirt. He is six feet, one inch tall and weighs about 195 pounds.

If you see him you are asked to call 911.
