DeKalb, Al Sheriff Jimmy Harris reported that after an extensive investigation a Grand Jury has handed down an indictment for Torture/Willful Abuse of a Child was issued for Brandy Lea Watson, 20 of Ider, Alabama. The indictment stemmed from an incident involving her 4 month old child which had a femoral fracture.

The child was taken to Children` Hospital in Birmingham.

Sheriff Harris states “I want to thank the District Attorney`s Office, the DeKalb County Department of Human Resources and Investigator Scott Tarrant for their hard work on this investigation. We will continue to fight for the innocent lives of children of DeKalb County.”
