A house fire on Gilreath Mill Road at Cloudland is being blamed on a burning candle.  The fire happened at 2811 Gilreath Mill Road at a house belonging to the Mildred Ballenger Estate.  The occupant of the house told fire fighters and law enforcement that he had left a candle burning and gone away and when he came back the house was on fire.  The structure was a total loss.  Cloudland, Hays Correctional, Menlo and Teloga Fire Departments responded to the fire along with the Chattooga County Sheriff's Department.
