Bitterly cold temperatures are what we are facing tonight with wind chills that could dip down well below zero and actual temperatures in the single digits. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory in effect until noon on Thursday. Plus we have a Winter Weather Advisory for tonight until 10 PM due to the fact we could see some light snow or snow showers. There is not a lot of moisture in the atmosphere, so there won’t be significant snow fall.
The next weather system will be moving into the area on Friday of this week. This system has the potential for winter precipitation. As of this afternoon the National Weather Service says snow will likely begin on Friday afternoon and change to freezing rain on Friday.
Stay tuned for updates on this next weather system.
