Chattooga County Public Works Director Joe Reed said that roads are slick at this point (6:30 PM Friday evening), but there is still traffic moving.
The normal trouble spots of Taylor's Ridge and Highway 157 at Cloudland, along with Georgia Highway 48 on the mountain are causing a few problems and some wrecks.
Reed said that residents should make it home and stay put. The weather forecast is still saying that by 10 AM on Saturday morning, the temperature will go above freezing and the precipitation will switch over to rain.
