The accident report has finally been released for a Monday morning crash that resulted in a Summerville man being air-lifted to Erlanger Medical Center for treatment.
That accident took place just before 11:00am, at the intersection of Highway 48 and Mahan Road and involved a Ford Ranger being driven by Ollie McGraw and a Ford Cargo Van being
driven by Rome resident Fatir Pillow.
According to the Summerville News McGraw was thrown from the vehicle and as a result of the wreck received stitches to the head.
He was also treated for a broken shoulder and an array of scratches and bruises.
The Georgia State Patrol accident report indicated that McGraw had failed to yield the right of way when he turned in front of the van, which was owned by WTL, Inc. of Menlo.
