Hutcheson Hospital has received some good news.
Thursday morning, Federal Judge Harold L. Murphy dismissed the motion filed by Erlanger Medical Center's attorney's, requesting that Hutchison's Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, be voided.
Judge Murphy's decision means that Hutcheson can continue to operate, under supervision of a court-appointed trustee – and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge, can determine just how the sale of Hutcheson's assets will proceed.
Since Hutcheson filed for bankruptcy in November, legal maneuverings have been on-going with Erlanger attempting to have Murphy order Hutcheson’s assets be sold in a foreclosure auction.
Judge Murphy’s latest ruling, essentially means, that the orderly sale of Hutcheson’s assets
can be conducted under supervision of the bankruptcy court.
