A golf cart valued at some $2,300 was reported stolen from a Marks Road address.

The complainant told Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office Deputies that she had left home just before 8:00 that morning and returned at noon to find the golf cart missing from the front yard.

She said she checked with everyone that may have borrowed it, but no one had taken it.

According to the incident report the golf cart is described as a white Yamaha outfitted with a homemade wooden bed on the back.

The case has been turned over to investigators.
