The Chattooga Indians fell to the Darlington Tigers on Friday evening on the road.  Darlington finished the regular season undefeated.  Chattooga Indians Coach Charles Hammon said ““You need to convert in the red zone against good teams, and we didn’t, that’s football. We have won some games like that this year and this time we came up short.”

There were only eighteen combined passing yards and only six drives for each squad. The game was decided between the blockers with Darlington besting Chattooga’s Isaac and Isaiah Foster by the slimmest of margins.

The final score was Darlington 14 – Chattooga 6.

The Indians finish their regular season with seven wins and three losses and are now seeded number three in the region.  A coin toss today will determine who they play next Friday night.

The Trion Bulldogs had no problem with St. Francis last night, defeating them on the road with a final score of 34-7.  Gabe Howell racked up 126 yards on five carries and scored twice. Malik Martin had 100 yards on four carries and scored a one-yard touchdown on a thirty-five yard interception.

St. Francis was only able to come up with 78 yards of total offence in Friday’s game; with their only score coming in the fourth quarter.

The Trion Bulldogs now move on to post-season play, but will not know their opponent for next Friday night until early next week.
