The driver of a truck and the residents of a house located in the 4200 block of Alabama Highway escaped injury after the truck plowed through the house early Sunday morning.

An occupant of the truck was also uninjured, according to Rome-Floyd Fire Department Battalion Chief Clete Bonney.

The truck went into a child's bedroom, coming very close to a bed in the room.

"They got lucky," Bonney said.

We will have more on this story as details are released.
