Chattooga County authorities responded to two accidents involving deer in the last several days.

One occurring on Highway 114 near Hamp Brewer Circle, with the other being on Highway 27 near the Walker County line.

In the Highway 114 wreck, the deer caused considerable damage to the passenger side of the driver’s 2002 GMC Sierra – including the front bumper, fender, front door and running board.

In the Highway 27 accident the driver’s vehicle sustained extensive damage to the front and to the passenger side front fender.

In each instance, the driver was able to drive the vehicle home and fortunately, no one was hurt in either crash.
