Family, friends and the community, are rallying around a ten year old boy that was injured in a frightening accident on Blacks Bluff Road Sunday.

Anna Beth Long said her son, Austin Middleton, was helping his grandfather clean up limbs, when he tripped and fell into a running chainsaw.   

The chainsaw cut into the child’s leg on the right side of his left knee.

Austin was rushed to Floyd Medical Center, where doctors worked to repair the damage.
 
Long said a post on Facebook about that accident, has gotten responses from as far away as Europe.
 
Austin is scheduled to be released from the hospital just in time for his 11th Birthday which is this Tuesday.
