A man and woman were in jail Tuesday after deputies raided a James Street residence and arrested them on charges of felony meth possession, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail records Joshua Michael Mendez, 35, is also charged with felony manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of meth with the intent to distribute and parole violation. He was found with the chemicals to make the drug when Floyd County Sheriff’s officers raided the house, at 51 James St., on Monday. Cynthia Diane Rape, 28 of 36 W. Elm St. in Trion, is charged with felony possession of meth.

Mendez was being held without bond Tuesday meanwhile Rape was being held on a $5,700 bond.
