Buchanan’s Sports Bar, located next to Mount Berry Square Mall, has been issued a letter of warning by the Rome Alcohol Control Commission.
Reports indicated that the establishment was not only cited for selling alcohol after hours – but for underage consumption as well.
According to officials, Rome Police conducted a walk through and observed alcohol being sold after 1:30am.
Rodrigo Barhona-Morales said that a time stamp on his surveillance cameras showed that it was before 1:30 when the officer noticed the violation.
Morales failed to show the evidence at the meeting held Monday.
Police also said they found an 18 year-old intoxicated inside the bar.
Buchanan’s has a hearing in Municipal Court on December 31st.
In other business, the Rome ACC approved a request for a Beer & Wine Package License for the Hampton Inn and Suites, located at 875 West 1st Street.
