Hutcheson Medical Center re-opened patient services on Tuesday night, and just in the nick of time, as the license to operate was set to expire December 24th.

A group affiliated with Apollo-MD made a late offer to purchase the struggling enterprise at a price of $4.2 million; that offer was accepted by the bankruptcy court.

Chickamauga Family Practice has re-opened, now under the management of Chi-Memorial;

the facility had briefly closed as a result of Hutcheson's financial problems.

The property was purchased by the City of Chickamauga and opened under the supervision of Memorial.

According to a news release the facility is now open on Highway 27 weekdays from 8:00am – 5:00pm.
