The body of 46 year old Martin “Randy” Meadows was found in a wooded area off of West Spring Creek at around 11:30 Wednesday morning.

Meadows had been reported missing over the weekend; he reportedly disappeared around 3:30pm – and was last seen walking into the Trion Industrial Park – where he disappeared into thick hedges and vegetation.

AM1180 spoke with Trion Police Chief Jason Kellett – who told us that he had responded to the scene due to the body being discovered on Trion property.

Chief Kellett secured the scene and then turned the case over to the GBI.

Foul play is not suspected in the case – however there may have been some type of medical issue.

The body has been sent to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy, which is normal procedure.
