A new year, a new beginning – that’s the idea behind all those New Year’s resolutions, and a new day, a new beginning could very well describe the attitude of Chattooga County’s Hope Rebirth.

Earlier this week we spoke with Hope Rebirth’s Ed Flener who’s offering an open invitation to anyone looking to being in the New Year with good fellowship and a desire to begin their better life today

The group will be meeting starting at around 7:00 tonight (New Year’s Eve).

Hope Rebirth provides shelter for single women, single men and families with their goal being to help the clients get back on their feet, successfully transitioning back into society.

Flener stressed that it doesn’t cost those receiving help a penny adding that Hope Rebirth is supported by local congregations, individuals and corporations.

Hope Rebirth is a Christian faith-based organization, and they’re currently in the process of developing a “transitional home” for single men – so when they leave the main campus they will have a place to go where they’ll receive assistance with activities such as budgeting and saving money.

This helps provide a support system as they return to work and normal day-to-day living.

Hope Rebirth is extremely active in regard to doing what they can to support themselves – they have a Yard Sale room, with 100% of the profits coming back into the shelter just this past March they were able to purchase the facility they’re currently in through the help of individuals and organizations around the area; one thing they’re currently in need of is new pillows.

A number of exciting new things are now taking on a life of their own at Hope Rebirth; they are in the process of developing a “transitional home” for single men – so when they leave the main campus they will have a place to go where they’ll receive assistance with activities such as budgeting and saving money.

“Recovery through Christ” meetings are being held every Monday and Wednesday at Hope Rebirth, located 50 Eleanor Avenue in Summerville.

This program is being set in place to assist people from all walks of life in dealing with their hurts, habits and hang-ups.
