A Rome resident was arrested over the weekend after allegedly stealing just a little south of a thousand dollars worth of clothing at Belk's in the Mt. Berry Square Mall.
Jonathon Matthew Roberson, age 26, reportedly ran from police when confronted – but was quickly taken into custody.
According to the jail report, the value of the clothing taken was $845; whereas he now has a nice orange jumpsuit provided by the county.
Roberson was charged with felony shoplifting, obstruction and a probation violation.
