A weekend traffic stop landed a Lafayette man in jail after officers found a variety of drugs – and a weapon – inside his vehicle. Justin Curtis Rogers, age 26, was pulled over for a simple taillight violation at Foster Circle – and after officers detected a strong odor of marijuana, his vehicle was searched.

Rogers was arrested on charges of Possession of Meth with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Schedule IV Drug. Officers also recovered a 9mm pistol from the car, in addition to ammo and digital scales.
