Troopers said a Cave Spring man fought them after he wrecked into a residence back on January 4. 

That man, 36-year-old Adam Lee Elrod of a Rome Road residence, turned himself in at the Floyd county Jail to face a long list of charges. 

According to the jail reports, Elrod crashed his vehicle into a house shortly after 9 p.m. on January 4. 

When emergency personnel arrived, Elrod allegedly fought with firefighters, EMS workers and Georgia State Patrol troopers. 

Elrod had to be tased by the troopers, the report stated. 

He is charged with two counts of felony obstruction, obstruction of EMT’s and obstruction of firefighters.

Troopers charged Elrod with failure to maintain lane because he left the roadway.

He is also charged with DUI and failure to apply for a new license within 60 days of changing his address.

He is being held on a $7,900.
