The political season has officially begun in Chattooga County with the first candidate for the position of County Commissioner announcing on Tuesday of this week.

Local businessman Jimmy Holbrook has tossed his hat in the ring, saying the time has come to be thoroughly appreciative of what we have – grateful for both the strength and wisdom to make it through the tough times – and eager to move forward, toward a better future for everyone in Chattooga County

The Democratic and Republican Primary is set for May 24th – deadline to register to vote is April 26th.

Qualifying is March 7th – 11th.
