According to incident reports at the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, a resident of Sloppy Floyd Lake Road reported to law enforcement that while he was out of town someone had apparently broken into the home.  He was informed by a neighbor, that someone had made an attempt to break-in.

The window in the door was broken out and the replacement value was roughly $300.
