Two Rome men were arrested Saturday on charges of meth possession, while one of them received an aggravated assault on an officer charge as well, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Kenneth Zachary Whaley, 33, of 5 Orlystes Drive, is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, two counts of obstruction of an officer and two counts of aggravated assault on an officer in performance of duties.

He pulled a knife on the officers, but wasn’t able to get the blade out before the officers detained him.

Chad Lee Jones, 30, of 3297 Calhoun Road, is also charged with felony meth possession and misdemeanor possession and use of drug-related objects after the two were arrested at a Shorter Avenue address.

They were both being held without bond Saturday night.
