A second suspect has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a New York man at Chickamauga Battlefield in December (2015).

38 year old Robert Martin Brooks has been charged with murder in the beating death of 59 year old Duane Hollenbeck; 25 year old Jennifer Demott was arrested earlier in the murder case.

Investigators believe the pair left New York with the victim, driving south; they allegedly made a number of purchases with his credit card before he was killed by blows to the head.

His body was located by hikers in the battlefield about four days after he was reported missing.

The GBI, FBI and Ft Oglethorpe Police have been working together in the investigation.

In addition to the murder charge both suspects have been charged with exploitation of an elderly person
