Police are searching for a suspect who robbed the Garden Lakes Food Mart on Huffaker Road Monday morning. Reports said that the man walked into the store around 6:40 am right after the store opened and asked for the manager. The clerk said that after they told the man that the manager was not there he pulled a gun and said that he wanted everything in the cash register.

Reports added that the suspect told the clerk to turn around and not look at him as he left. The suspect took $500 and headed toward Shorter Avenue.

He is described as black male, 5’ 10” and 200 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, sweatshirt and a black ski mask. The gun is described as a nickel-plated semi automatic.
