A house in Rock Spring was destroyed by fire on Monday night; according to Walker County Emergency Services Fire Marshal & Assistant Fire Chief Waymond Westbrook – firefighters were dispatched to the residence in the 700 block of Peavine Road at 8:43pm.

When the first units arrived at the location, the home was already 75% involved; the house is reportedly all cedar wood, inside and out. According to the daughter of the homeowners, no one was home at the time of the fire. No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
