Some people just don't know when to quit.

A couple passing through Lafayette last weekend were pulled over on a DUI stop, after local police were notified that the driver may be impaired; as they were coming upon the vehicle it climbed the curb, lending credence to the report.

As it turns out, the driver, 37 year old James Millsaps, had a "restricted" Tennessee license.

Due to prior DUI arrests he was only supposed to be driving a car with an alcohol interlock; he failed the field sobriety test.

Millsaps' wife, who actually owned the car, said they were on their way home to Rome.

A liquor bottle was spotted on her side of the car and as a result she was charged with open container and permitted an unauthorized person to drive.

According to the report, officers also found a pipe and marijuana in the vehicle.

Millsaps' admitted that the marijuana was his and reportedly, while at the jail asked several times "Can I get my bud back?" His answer came in the form of an additional charge for possession of a controlled substance.
