48 year old Ben Tillman McCool of Gaylesville was arrested on Thursday night just before 8:30 and booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center on charges of Torture and Willful Abuse of a Child in addition to Domestic Violence by Strangulation.

He has now been charged with murder in connection with death of a Cherokee County man whose body was pulled from Weiss Lake earlier today.  McCool is being held in the Cherokee County Detention Center without bond. McCool used to cut hair and offer deluxe men's shaves in Trion and Summerville.
