Rome police are continuing to investigate a rash or armed robberies that includes ones in surrounding counties and Friday  night another one occurred. 

A man entered A-1 Food and Beverage on Friday night and robbed the clerk at gunpoint. 

Police have not said if it is tied to other recent robberies but do believe one that happened at a Huffaker Road convenience store last week may be linked to robberies in surrounding counties. 

Posted is a picture of the suspect in that robbery from the Rome Police Department. 

According to a Rome police Facebook post, he was described by the clerk as a black male with a small silver pistol. He was wearing dark pants and black shoes with white trim on the bottom.

The jacket he is wearing is black and white with the logo of “ECKO 1972” with a crown above the’ C’.
