One person was killed, several others injured in an explosion early Sunday morning at JCG Farms at 1750 Rome Highway in Rockmart.
According to Polk County Emergency Management Agency Director Randy Lacey, the explosion occurred at around 2:30 a.m.
He said the ATF and State Fire Mashal's office are at the scene investigating the cause.
A structural engineer is also inspecting the facility.
Lacey said that everyone in the plant has been accounted for.
Once again, one person, a 25-year old man believed to be from the Rockmart area, was killed.
One other was airlifted to an Atlanta hospital.
The other injured people were taken to area hospitals.
According to Hometownheadlines.com, oen of them was taken to Redmond Regional Medical Center, then transferred to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Cobb Wellstar.
Two of the injured workers have been treated and released from Floyd Medical Center.
Highway 101 in front of the plant is closed.
It is not known when it will reopen.
