A power outage in West Rome caused at least one traffic light at the intersection of Shorter Avenue and Coosawattee Avenue to fail and left more than 1,000 people in the area without power at around 1:00pm Monday.

The problem was corrected in less than two hours – although no reason has been given for the outage.
