A man found what appears to be the acoustic guitar stolen from him last year for sale at a local pawn shop.

The man was shopping at the Cash America Pawn shop on Shorter Avenue on Tuesday when he saw a guitar similar to the stolen one.

When he looked closely at the guitar, he noticed a scratch on the back that was identical to a scratch on the one he had. When police arrived, he showed them a receipt from when he purchased the guitar in 2014 and the serial number matched the one in the shop.

A hold was placed on the guitar and police are investigating how it came to the shop.
