A 33 year-old Rome man, Aaron Cole Reeves led Floyd County deputies on a foot chase after they attempted to serve a warrant for his arrest Thursday. Reports said that Reeves, who was wanted on numerous charges including attempted rape, tried to hit and kick officers who were finally able to capture him after a lengthy chase. Police said that Cole hit a woman in the face while she was holding a child. The woman had a temporary protective order against him at the time.

The chase occurred near Reeves home on Freeman Ferry Road.

Cole is charged with three counts of felony obstruction of an officer, six counts of misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement officers, and simple assault from the chase.

He was wanted for two counts of battery, kidnapping, false imprisonment, interference with custody, first degree cruelty to children, aggravated stalking, sexual battery, attempted rape and a probation violation.

Two women at the home were also arrested. Drusilla Lee Reeves, 61, was charged with false statements or writings and obstruction.

Lisa Lynn Langston, 54 of Rome, was charged with false statements or writings and hindering the apprehension of a criminal.
