Strong wind and hail are being reported in some parts of Chattooga County this morning. There are some power outages associated with the weather conditions being reported by both NGEMC and Georgia Power customers. AM 1180 is experiencing periodic signal loss this morning due to weather conditions. Please monitor our Facebook page or our web site for continuing updates on the weather conditions.  A Flood Warning has been issued for the Chattooga River in Chattooga County.  At 6:17 AM this morning the National Weather Service in Peachtree City said 

 

* Flood Warning for   The Chattooga River near Summerville. 

* From this morning until this afternoon. 

* At 530 AM Wednesday the stage was 13.8 feet...and rising. 

* Minor flooding is forecast. 

* Flood stage is 14 feet. 

* Forecast to rise above flood stage by this morning and continue to   

rise to near 14.4 feet by this morning.The river will fall below   

flood stage by late this morning. 

* At 14 feet...Minor flooding of woodlands and fields begins along   

the river upstream and downstream from the gage on U.S. Highway 27   

or Rome Boulevard.
