The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help FieldTurf recruit about 40 full-time workers for its manufacturing plant in Calhoun on Friday, Feb. 26.

The company manufactures synthetic turf for athletic fields.

The recruitment will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gordon County Agricultural Center located at 1282 Highway 53 Spur in Calhoun. GDOL staff will be on site to help screen the applicants.  

The company will be recruiting coater operators, forklift drivers, tufting crew leaders, tufting machine operators, and warehouse inventory clerks. 

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. They must also have a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED).

While some positions require no previous work experience, others require as much as two years. Salaries range from $10 an hour to $17 an hour, depending on the position.
