A Fort Payne, Alabama man, Trey Davorius Burks, 22, was arrested in Floyd County over the weekend following a traffic stop. Reports said that Burks was pulled over after it appeared he was driving under the influence. During the stop officers said that he attempted to swallow over an ounce of marijuana before officers could see it.

Reports added that he had three children, ages 7, 7 and 1 in the vehicle with him at the time of the traffic stop.

Burks, was charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and felony tampering with evidence. He is also charged with three misdemeanor counts of reckless conduct. He’s also facing misdemeanor counts of willful obstruction, driving while license suspended, driving under the influence of drugs and failure to maintain lane.
