The Town of Trion will be having a housing fair coming up this weekend. Trion Mayor Larry Stansell said that the housing fair, which will be held Saturday, March 5th, is the first in of several that the town plans to conduct this year.
This weekend, anyone interested in becoming a homeowner is encouraged to take part in the Town of Trion’s housing fair. The mayor said that there will be a tour of the Habitat for Humanity Home that was recently built at 200 Elm Street in Trion. A shuttle will run from Trion First Baptist Church to the house, where the family that is moving into the home will be on hand. There will be an opportunity for people to talk with lenders and education on how to go about becoming a homeowner.
Mayor Stansell said that there are currently three homes that are being rebuilt in Trion through grant dollars obtained by the town. The mayor said that the Town of Trion Housing Committee is putting on the housing fair to help potential homeowners understand the home buying process.
