More than $15,000 in cash and drugs was confiscated from a home just north of Lafayette – that, in the wake of a search warrant being served at the residence on Wheeler Road.

Drug Task Force Commander Pat Doyle reports a large amount of "ICE" methamphetamine being found, in addition to a large amount of marijuana.

Mark Mitchell from Ringgold was charged with possession of meth with intent to distribute – Douglas MacArthur Walker, Jr., was charged with trafficking meth and with the possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and his son, David Ryan Walker was charged with the possession of marijuana along with schedule II and schedule IV drugs.

In an unrelated case – the drug task force arrested a man from metro-Atlanta, charging him with impersonating a doctor, in an effort to fraudulently obtain a pain-killer prescription at multiple pharmacies.
