One person was treated for injuries in the wake of a single-vehicle accident occurring about 3:30 Sunday afternoon in Chattooga County.

The crash was about half-way up the mountain going toward Cloudland on Highway 48 and the driver, who was listed on the report as being intoxicated, lost control of the vehicle then struck a guard rail.

According to the Georgia State Patrol the driver, whose name has not yet been released was transported from the scene to Redmond Regional in Rome for treatment.

That accident remains under investigation by the GSP.
