A truck hauling sludge from the wastewater treatment plant in Trion – recently spilled part of its load in Walker County.
According to state troopers the spill caused two wrecks – fortunately, no one was seriously injured.
An investigation into the matter has determined that the spill was caused by a tail gate that malfunctioned; the vehicle was on its way to a landfill in Gordon County for disposal of the sludge.
