Deputies were recently dispatched to the Highway 27 Walmart in Chattooga County in reference to an “uncooperative” shoplifter.

According to the report 23 year old Michael Allen Goodman of Summerville was witnessed taking a bottle of chocolate milk and then walking into the ladies wear department – where he drank approximately half the bottle, then place the unfinished bottle on a shelf.

He then left the store without paying.

Store personnel confronted Goodman, asking him to come back to the office, at which point he allegedly became combative and issued verbal threats; he then advised that he needed medical attention and Redmond EMS was dispatched.

EMS personnel check out Goodman’s vitals and advised that he appeared to be okay.

He was then placed under arrest for Shoplifting and taken to the Chattooga County Jail.

The value of the chocolate milk – $1.82.
