A young woman was fatally injured while crossing Georgia Highway 2 in Rossville Monday.

Georgia State Troopers state the 29 year old victim was struck by a 2015 Ford Focus driven by 58 year old Joel Swafford of a Flintstone address. According to reports, two people were crossing Georgia 2 at a crosswalk going from south to north when Swafford, traveling in the right-hand lane, struck and killed Tiffany DeFriese of Chattanooga.

Reports noted that Swafford had a green light when that accident occurred and that both of the pedestrians were wearing predominantly dark clothing.
