The Trion High School Steel Drum Band recently appeared on WRCB TV/Channel 3.

The band is bringing together students who enjoy a challenge – and just having a great time together; all the hard work and practice has certainly paid off with numerous awards going being brought back to the school.

Percussion Director Bobby Crosby helped to establish the program back in 2005, and Band Director Andy Cox says he hopes the incredible success of the band will lead to the building of a bigger band room.

The energetic performances have brought a heightened awareness to both the band, and to the school, which is good for everyone.
