A new movie, delving into the often turbulent life of country music legend Hank Williams, is now playing, and as part of a promotional campaign for that new release, entitled I Saw the Light, his daughter Jett Williams is taking part in a road tour visiting many of Hank's haunts from more than sixty years ago.

His daughter started her trip in Montgomery, coming into Ft Payne the following day, and it will follow the same route her father had taken along Highway 11 through Alabama, back in December of 1952 before dying New Year's Day, 1953 in Oak Hill, West Virginia.

The Alabama Department of Tourism will continue to promote the Hank Williams Trail.

That route will run through Alabama – with tourists and fans being able to visit areas where he lived and visited, and the places that were important to him, with historic markers along the way.

No time table for the project has yet been stated.
