The Georgia Department of Labor will soon be helping Mohawk recruit production workers for both plants in Chattooga County.

Mohawk Industries will recruit 35 manufacturing workers for either Summerville or Lyerly

A Recruitment will be held on Tuesday, April 12th from 10:00am – 3:00pm at the Chattooga County Civic Center, located at 44 Highway 48 in Summerville.

Department of Labor staff will be on site to help screen the applicants.

The company is looking for 25 creelers and 10 material handlers.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety & Health Administration regulations, all applicants must be at least 18 years old. A high school diploma or a GED is preferred, but not required. Also no previous work experience is required for the jobs. Salaries will depend on the positions.
